Here’s a little juicing recipe from us to you that combines super greens, zesty citrus, and creamy delicious omega-3’s that you can have any time of the day: breakfast, lunch, or dinner! If you want to make it a happy hour in more ways than one, we recommend a shot of tequila or limoncello to add a little pizazz to this potent punch of cancer-preventative fruits, vegetables, and herbs!

We got to warn you though, this elixir has a little bite. It has crunchy tart apple, requires firm ripe lemons, and tender ripe avocado. And for those who are brave enough, the great digestive root of raw peeled ginger. It’s vegan, it’s raw, and a great way to start off any day.

The Ingredients

1 handful of peeled grated ginger

2 peeled and cored Honeycrisp or Pink Lady Apples

1 Avocado, pitted

1 cup of lime/lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon of salt

1/2 Banana

1 cup of raw spinach

1/4 cup of Arugula (for peppery taste)

If you want to make the above cocktail sweeter or more tart, the key is to either respectively add a bit of mango or increase the proportion of lemon juice.

Avocados have many Vitamins and health benefits that other produce may be lacking in. One easy and cost-effective way to make an avocado face mask is to use the peel to apply the remnants of the avocado to your face. Leave on for ten minutes and remove with warm filtered water.

This DIY face mask can also be used for your hair, hands and feet and is a great way to strengthen your scalp, moisturize your skin, and make your hair shine. You can always add yogurt and honey to make it more spa-like.
